Who we are

BadmintonAtlas (badmintonatlas.eu) is an independent badminton website operated from Brno, Czech Republic. Contact: hello@badmintonatlas.eu. We are the data controller for the processing described here.

What we collect

The site is a set of static pages. We do not require accounts and we do not ask you to enter personal data anywhere on it today. When you load a page, our hosting provider (Hostinger International Ltd.) records standard server logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser type and the referring page. Those logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for a limited period under the provider's own retention rules.

Cookies

BadmintonAtlas itself sets no cookies. Your browser may store small preferences (for example a filter you chose on the racket database) in its own local storage; that data stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Advertising

We intend to show advertising through Google AdSense once the site is established. When that starts, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and you can withdraw consent at any time from the link in the footer. Google's own notice explains how it uses data from partner sites: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We will update this page the day advertising goes live.

Analytics

We do not run analytics scripts at the moment. If we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool later, we will say so here and describe what it records.

Newsletter

There is no newsletter sign-up yet. When one launches, we will name the provider, explain what happens to your email address, and give you a one-click way to unsubscribe.

Links to other sites

We link to manufacturers, retailers, the Badminton World Federation and others. Their privacy practices are their own. Some product links may in future be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you buy after clicking; that does not involve passing any personal data to us.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz). Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests will be answered by confirming that we have nothing on file. Write to hello@badmintonatlas.eu.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new "last updated" date.
