How ranking points work
A player's ranking is the sum of their best 10 results from the last 52 weeks. Bigger tournaments pay more. A Super 1000 pays 12,000 to the winner, rising to 13,500 at the Super 1000s that add the most prize money; above the figures here sit the World Tour Finals (14,000) and the World Championships and Olympic Games (14,500 each), per BWF's points table in force since April 2024. Points from a tournament drop off exactly one year later, which is why rankings move most in the week after a big event.
