China Masters 2026: Gunawan, An Se-young and Rankireddy/Shetty take the Shenzhen titles

Every final from the China Masters Super 750 in Shenzhen, 1–6 September 2026, with scores, and what each result means for the World Tour Finals race.

The China Masters is the last Super 750 before the tour swings into Europe, and the Shenzhen week usually tells you who has kept their form through the summer. This year it produced one surprise champion, an all-Hong Kong final, and four very familiar names.

Men’s singles: Jason Gunawan

Jason Gunawan (Hong Kong China) bt Lee Cheuk Yiu (Hong Kong China) 21-9, 21-16.

An all-Hong Kong final at a Super 750, and it took Gunawan 43 minutes. He had been knocking on the door all season without closing out a big week; in Shenzhen the draw opened and he took the biggest title of his career against his own team-mate. The 21-9 first game settled the match early.

Women’s singles: An Se-young

An Se-young (Korea) bt Tomoka Miyazaki (Japan) 21-17, 21-6.

An’s third China Masters title in a row was the least surprising result of the week. The first game was competitive; the second was the kind of procession that happens when An decides a rally is not ending on her terms. Her depth and patience in long rallies remain the standard the rest of the field is measured against.

Men’s doubles: Satwiksairaj Rankireddy / Chirag Shetty

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy / Chirag Shetty (India) bt He Jiting / Ren Xiangyu (China) 11-21, 21-13, 21-17.

Third China Masters final for the Indians, after losing the 2023 and 2025 editions, and the first they have won. They were a long way off in the first game and turned it round from the second, which is what you expect from a pair whose serve-and-attack pattern has looked sharper this year than at any point in 2025. The title lifts them firmly into the frame for Hangzhou.

Women’s doubles: Sumire Nakade / Miyu Takahashi

Sumire Nakade / Miyu Takahashi (Japan) bt Bao Lijing / Cao Zihan (China) 21-18, 21-18.

A Japanese pair winning a Super 750 women’s doubles is not news in itself; the names are. Nakade and Takahashi are the next generation of Japan’s doubles production line and this was their biggest title so far, taken in two tight games against a home pair.

Mixed doubles: Feng Yanzhe / Huang Dongping

Feng Yanzhe / Huang Dongping (China) bt Hoo Pang Ron / Lai Pei Jing (Malaysia) 21-19, 21-16.

China’s top mixed pair won at home in 50 minutes against a Malaysian pair playing their first World Tour final together. Feng and Huang remain the pair to beat in the discipline. If you are curious what the top pairs swing, the racket database lists the frames with confirmed tour users, and our doubles rotation guide explains the positions these finals turned on.

What it means

The tour now heads to Europe: Arctic Open in Vantaa (6–11 October), then Denmark Open, French Open and Hylo Open on consecutive weeks. The Shenzhen results shuffle the Race to Hangzhou list rather than settle it, and the European month will decide most of the remaining places. We’ll add every champion to the results page as each event finishes.
